- All Endowment Funds are invested in accordance with the guidelines established by CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation Endowment Fund and managed by the Endowment Fund Board of Directors.
- A named endowment may be established through CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation with an initial gift of $25,000 or more.
- Endowments with a value of $100,000 or more are listed in perpetuity on the wall of honor at CHRISTUS Children’s.
- Endowments may be established as unrestricted or designated to a specific program.
- Disbursement amount based upon the annual spend rate is determined by the Endowment Fund Board of Directors.

Endowed Professorship
CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation and Endowment Fund Boards of Directors are committed to the tradition and importance of Endowed Chairs in recognizing and fostering medical excellence at CHRISTUS Children’s. An Endowed Chair provides continuous and lasting recognition to the donor or named honoree by supporting the academic work of the Chair Holder through care, research, and education.
- A gift of $2 million or more creates a permanent Endowed Chair. The full amount of the gift is set aside in perpetuity with the earnings dedicated to the designated pediatric specialty.
- The gift shall be invested in accordance with the guidelines established by CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation Endowment Fund and managed by the Endowment Fund Board of Directors.
- Disbursement amount is determined annually by the Endowment Fund Board of Directors.
- Expenses must be approved by the Chair Holder and counter signed by CHRISTUS Children’s Administrator.
- The Foundation is pleased to work with the donor to determine the donor’s interests when funding a chair, to determine appropriate naming opportunities and to discuss a plan for public recognition.
- The donor is invited to assist with the design concept of a special medallion that signifies the partnership between the donor, CHRISTUS Children’s, CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation and academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine.
- The donor is recognized on the wall of honor at CHRISTUS Children’s and in perpetuity through the Endowed Chair.
- Framed medallions are on display at CHRISTUS Children’s and CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation.
