Allstate Foundation Grants $20,000 to The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Sept. 15, 2015) – The Allstate Foundation granted $20,000 to The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation, where a group of 20 Allstate agents helped lift spirits by volunteering their time helping with a themed carnival for patients and their families. Each agent who volunteered received the Agency Hands in the Community Award. Walmart and Sam’s Club Associates Raise $508,303 for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio During Six-Week Campaign

SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 27, 2015) — The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio partnered with 57 Walmart and Sam’s Club stores across San Antonio, Victoria and Laredo to raise $483,303 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). Because of an additional incentive of $25,000 to the hospital in the market that raised the most funds, the total gift to The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio totals $508,303. Nationally, through donations accepted at cash registers and in-store fundraising activities, Walmart and Sam’s Club raised more than $42 million for the 170 hospitals that make up Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation Vying for Top Spot in White Cloud’s Real Comfort, Real Kids Video Contest

SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 1, 2015) – White Cloud announced The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio is a part of its national Real Comfort, Real Kids video contest with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. White Cloud, a paper products company, asked entrants to submit a one-minute video answering the question “How would you bring more comfort to kids in your hospital?” The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio’s video is one of 14 included in the contest with a chance to win one of three donations. The hospitals with a video voted in the top three will receive a $30,000 donation from White Cloud. The winners will be decided by community vote on White Cloud’s Facebook page and announced in July. The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Opens New Cancer Outpatient Center

The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio announced the completion of its outpatient pediatric hematology/oncology clinic in a grand opening ceremony held today. Thanks to a generous $3 million grant from Valero Energy Foundation, previously announced, the 7th floor of the Hospital has been transformed into a spacious new treatment area with 12 examination rooms, four private rooms, four open bay areas, a dedicated pharmacy, a family waiting room, play area and administrative offices that will ensure key staff members are nearby to assist families with social services and special needs. The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Opens Medical and Surgical Units

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 24, 2015) – Grape and tangerine walls greeted the first children who entered the newest patient floors opening this week at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. The color scheme for the 10th features luminous orange accents, while the 11th floor is vibrant purple. Bright colors have been incorporated throughout the Hospital based on research showing children heal faster and with better results when surrounded by dazzling colors and natural light. These two new additions bring the number of new floors at the Hospital to four with a total of 80 new private patient rooms designed around the concept of family-centered care. The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Celebrates Anticipated Opening of Phase One of New H-E-B Emergency Department and Outpatient Center

SWBC Foundation Donates $2 Million to CHRISTUS Children’s to Create Endowed Chair

SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 1, 2014) – The SWBC Foundation has demonstrated its support for CHRISTUS Children’s by donating a $2 million gift for the creation and appointment of an endowed chair, named for Gary Dudley and Charlie Amato, co-founders of SWBC. The Gary Dudley and Charlie Amato Endowed Chair in Pediatric Neurology is being awarded to Dr. Yu-tze Ng, who serves as the section chief of the pediatric neurology division at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.
