Moo-ving Pieces: A Tribute to Hope, Family, and San Antonio Spirit

Addison is a Brandeis High School student, artist, trumpeter, and basketball player. As a former patient at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital and the daughter of a dedicated staff member, Addison is honored to give back through this project. “It means so much to create something for the hospital that has done so much for me,” she shares.

Helping to bring Addison’s design to life is her grandmother, Kathy. Since retiring, Kathy has fully immersed herself in painting, participating in numerous local and national art courses.

The cow’s handprint pays homage to the children and families cared for at CHRISTUS Children’s. Puzzle pieces represent the complex, beautiful pieces of life—and are also a nod to Autism awareness, a cause close to the family’s heart through Addison’s mother’s work. Stars scattered across the design symbolize special moments and enduring hope.
